This week's visit of TGC's properties will be in Durham County and is scheduled for Saturday April 9. The weather is projected as iffy, with a chance of drizzle, so we will proceed with this final tour of the year. Participants from the Raleigh area will gather at Oak Park Shopping Center [6001 Glenwood Ave] prior to 9:00 AM to coordinate a carpool. --- Participants will proceed to Mineral Springs Village Shopping Center [NC 98 in Durham] to meet any additional participants by 9:30. From there the first stop will be TGC's Sybil Drive property on Little Lick Creek. We will then return to the area north and west of the shopping center to talk/walk quickly over an evolving greenway conservation project on lands adjoining Little Lick Creek. We will then go to the TGC's Walker/Kemp properties on Chunky Pipe Creek. The final stop will be at the TGC's Turner property on an unnamed tributary to Little LIck Creek. --- The tour should conclude back in Raleigh shortly after 1:00 PM. The temperature should be warm, and hopefully the precipitation will be inconsequential, but dress appropriately. Walking will be on natural surfaces and total less than two miles. This will be a good opportunity to see specific TGC properties in the context of its bigger vision, and learn about how projects are knitted together. --- If you intend to participate, please respond to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
